Lao drivers given licence to drive on Asean roads
Local authorities have clarified that Lao drivers with international driving permits are able to drive freely in other countries around the world, as Laos has signed up to the relevant convention.
In addition, motorists who hold a Lao driving licence are officially allowed to drive freely in other Asean member countries as long as their name on their licence appears in English.
