Exhibition marks conclusion of peach pit carving workshop in Laos
VIENTIANE (Vientiane Times/ANN) – The National Institute of Fine Arts (NIFA) exhibited carved peach pits on Thursday at the conclusion of a special workshop conducted by a Chinese trainer.
The carved pits were very beautiful and in many forms and sizes, such as Buddha images, flowers and animals.
The workshop, organised at NIFA during November 13-30, was joined by 23 teachers and students from the Department of Sculpture. The participants were trained by a Chinese professional, Mr Liu Qi Sheng, who is experienced in peach pit carving.
