Authorities issue 8 rules to ensure order over Pi Mai Lao
VIENTIANE (The Vientiane Times/ANN) – Vientiane Public Security Headquarters under the Ministry of Public Security last week (April 1) announced eight regulations for distribution to the nine district offices, aimed at maintaining social order during Lao New Year (April 14-16).
The first regulation bans the sale of fireworks while the second forbids the splashing of dirty water, wearing of provocative dress during traditional activities, and gambling during the celebrations.
