Laos looking to beef up livestock exports
VIENTIANE (Vientiane Times/ANN) – Laos is planning to earn about US$48.2 million from livestock exports including cattle and buffaloes this year, representing an increase of 1.7 percent compared to last year’s figure.
The country initially set a target of US$46.2 million for livestock exports last year but was able to achieve a total of US$90.3 million, according to the Ministry of Industry and Commerce.
Most of the livestock was sold to Vietnam and China.
