Visit Laos Year arrivals likely to fall short of target
The number of overseas visitors to Laos is expected to reach just 4 million this year, well short of the government’s Visit Laos Year 2018 target of 5 million visitors, according to officials tracking the numbers.
An official with the Tourism Research and Administration Division, Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism, said visitor numbers increased by 2.9 million or 3.2 percent year-on-year in the first nine months of 2018.
