Health officials launch nutrition action plan

The addition of micronutrients to processed food as an efficacious and cost-effective way to improve the micronutrient status of the population is commanding the attention of health experts. A meeting held on Thursday to discuss the issue was attended by Country Director and Representative of the World Food Programme, Ms Sarah Gordon-Gibson, and participants from the ministries of Health, Planning and Investment, Agriculture and Forestry, Industry and Commerce, Education and Sports, and Finance.
