Open Development Laos uploads a new report, “Sustainable Hydropower Master Plan for the Xe Kong Basin Lao PDR”

It is a report released by the Natural Heritage Institute (NHI), which reflects potential impacts of hydro-power project in Xe Kong, a tributary of Mekong, to its neighboring ecosystem. The report comes with recommendations as a guide for the Government of Laos to mitigate the impacts, which can be used as a case study for other hydro-power projects in the country.
