Laos eyes upgrade of organic agriculture to build trade competitiveness

VIENTIANE (Vientiane Times/ANN) – The Lao government is urging farmers to embrace the commercial farming of organic crops and to develop product systems so they can compete more effectively in international markets.

That’s the message at the 7th Lao Organic Agriculture Forum (LOAF) under the theme: ‘National Strategy for Green Development and International Competitiveness’ taking place in Vientiane from November 28-29.
