FEATURE: Reading Elephant Laos inspires rural schoolchildren in Bokeo
BOKEO, Laos (Vientiane Times/ANN) – With the school year coming to an end next month, Reading Elephant Laos is making a hurried round of visits to schools in Huayxai district, Bokeo province to engage children in inspirational activities, especially reading, and donate educational materials.
Reading Elephant Laos is a grass roots project and non-profit initiative that works to promote reading in Huayxai district. Since the end of 2017 the group has run a small reading room in the town centre where they encourage children to read and also inform tourists about their work.
