Laos' Borikhamxay to serve as key regional land bridge

VIENTIANE (Vientiane Times/ANN) – Borikhamxay province in central Laos will serve as another key trade hub and land bridge once construction of the 5th Lao-Thai friendship bridge is completed and it becomes operational in coming years.

Lao Minister of Public Work and Transport, Mr Bounchanh Sinthavong and his Thai counterpart Mr Arkhom Termpittayapaisith on Friday presided over the signing ceremony of the 5th Lao-Thai friendship bridge construction held in the Thai province of Bueng Kan on June 14.
