Teacher shortage continues as govt quota declines
Schools throughout the country have put in requests for an additional 2,979 teachers, while the government has provided a quota of just 1,850 civil servant teachers to the Ministry of Education and Sports this year. Minister of Education and Sports Ms Sengdeuane Lachanthaboun reported the figures during the ongoing ordinary session of the National Assembly, taking place from June 5-28.
