S Korean Firm to Launch Online Lottery Sales Platform in Laos
South Korean firm Kona I have teamed up with local lottery company Lao Toto to launch an online platform in Laos that will be designed to issue, draw and calculate lotteries.
Kona I currently operates a mobile payment system in South Korea while Lao Toto has acquired a business license to run lottery and sports gambling business, often referred to as sports toto, in Laos.
If introduced, the system will be the first online platform to sell and calculate lotteries in Laos, according to Lao Toto.
Currently, in Laos, lottery tickets are sold at lottery tables or booths on streets to passers-by.
