Laos - Vietnam boost partnership in energy development

HANOI (Vientiane Times/ANN) – Laos and Vietnam will further cooperate on electricity trading after a leading committee from Laos’ Ministry of Energy and Mines met with officials from Vietnam’s Ministry of Industry and Trade in Hanoi, Vietnam.

The visit was led by Minister of Energy and Mines, Dr Khammany Inthirath from February 16-19, to reconfirm the connection of electricity trading between the two countries from the north to the south, which comprises nine points including 220kV, 230 kV and 500kV transmission systems.
