Laos strives to improve ease-of-doing-business ranking

VIENTIANE (Vientiane Times/ANN) – Laos is hoping that its ranking in the global ease of doing business (EODB) index will improve after the government rolls out measures to drive the economy forward by simplifying business operations.

In 2019, only Myanmar ranked lower than Laos amongst the 10 Asean countries. Laos dropped 13 places and ranked 154th out of the 190 countries included in the index. Myanmar ranked 171st.
