Health ministry targets sustainable traditional medicine production in Laos
VIENTIANE (Vientiane Times/ANN) – Health authorities are working to develop a sustainable traditional medicine sector in the country based on ecologically sound practices, a meeting in Vientiane province on Tuesday heard.
During the meeting, attended by Minister of Health, Associate Prof. Dr Bounkong Syhavong and Director General of the ministry’s Food and Drug Department, Dr Somthavy Changvisommid, participants reported on steps toward the sustainable commercialisation of traditional medicine production for domestic sale and export.
