Champassak province celebrates Pakxe city status

Prime Minister Thongloun Sisoulith yesterday attended a ceremony to officially declare Pakxe district to be a city, as the capital of Champassak province, after the government recently authorised the upgrade of three provincial capitals to city status. The government authorised the change in status to advance the administration and development of these rapidly expanding provincial capitals.
