Champassak preparing to go green on Arbor Day in Laos
CHAMPASSAK, Laos (Vientiane Times/ANN) – To rehabilitate the environment and increase forest cover to 70 percent of land by 2020, Champassak provincial authorities are planning to grow trees on 950 hectares this year.
Deputy Director of the province’s Agriculture and Forestry Department, Mr Kanha Keobualapha, said the department and other sectors are preparing to plant saplings on 950 hectares in towns and districts.
