Access to finance key to success of SMEs in Laos
VIENTIANE (Vientiane Times/ANN) – Lao fish farmers would be better able to compete with foreign operators if taxes and duties levied on local producers were lower and if the government provided more financing support.
Lao fish farms are currently struggling against very stiff competition from foreign breeders in an environment where a lack of funding and support for breeding programmes and marketing prevails.
