37 Killed In Road Accidents During Pi Mai Lao Celebration
(KPL) Traffic Police have reported 37 people were killed and over 532 injured during the celebration of Pi Mai Lao or Lao New Year B.E. 2562, between April 13 and 17, 2019.
The number represented a 5 per cent decrease from the death toll reported during the celebration of Pi Mai Lao in 2018. Yet the number of injured people has slightly risen by 0.7 per cent year on year.
