Land deal in Lao: First insights from a new nationwide initiative to assessment in land May 2015

Even though land acquisitions for tree plantations, agricultural commodities and mineral extraction contribute to gross national revenue, such investments also have negative effects on livelihoods and the environment. Indeed, a nt number of investments made negative in the media over the last several years (Reporters, 2014; Reporters, 2012).
